Advanced pre-transfer hormone monitoring

To monitor hormone levels and achieve pregnancy

Learn more

What does hormone monitoring consist of?

It consists of testing key hormone levels, such as oestrogen, progesterone, luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) at specific times in the cycle. We can adjust some of them, which are essential for endometrial preparation and embryo development.

When is it used?

Patients in any of these situations

Women with previous implantation failures, with diagnosed hormonal imbalances or who are over 42 years of age.

Benefits of carrying out these controls

Identifying and correcting hormonal imbalances.

Preventing complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

Improving embryo implantation rates.

How is it done?

Hormone levels are tested during endometrial preparation prior to embryo transfer. It is important that these levels are within the right range because they influence the success of implantation. Following the tests, medication is adjusted to maintain the correct hormone levels and ensure a successful transfer.

FAQs on hormone control

Why are hormonal controls before embryo transfer important?
Because they ensure that hormone levels, such as oestrogen and progesterone, are in the right range. This significantly increases the likelihood that the endometrium will be receptive and therefore improves implantation and pregnancy rates.
What if hormone levels are not optimal?
If hormone levels are not correct, we will adjust the medication and the embryo transfer may have to be postponed to a later cycle, when levels are favourable.
Are they important for increasing the chances of pregnancy?
Yes, by personalising the treatment and ensuring an appropriate hormonal environment, these controls allow us to significantly increase the chances of the embryo transfer resulting in a successful pregnancy.
